Agra, 25 July: In another hall of shame, a video purporting to show a young man peeing on an injured man lying unconscious on the ground went viral on social media. The teenager is also seen in the 30-second footage kicking the man in the head.ย
The victim is verbally abused by the adolescent and his pals. The culprit was apprehended after the video went viral. The footage, according to the authorities, is three to four months old.
“The police have arrested one accused and are looking for the others,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Suraj Kumar Rai.
Rai claimed in a video message on Twitter that the police took notice after the footage went viral.
“After conducting an investigation, the police discovered that no complaint had been filed by the victim at any police station in Agra in this regard. It was later discovered that the video was three to four months old, and the accused youth has been identified as Aditya,” Rai continued.
Aditya was arrested and charged with murder attempt under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code, among other charges.
“We have also looked into other youths who appeared in the video. Aditya, the apprehended youth, will be brought to court and legal action will be done,” Rai stated.
