Lucknow, 29 September: A bloody clash took place between two student groups in Lucknow University on Friday afternoon.
The university administration had to take the help of the police to control the situation. Police force has been deployed in the campus.
According to preliminary information, Akshay Pradhan, a third year BA student, was sitting in the canteen. At the same time, MA Economics student Priyanshu Mishra also arrived. At first both were talking, then soon a fight started.
During this time, other students who had come from both sides started fighting.
As soon as the news was received, the members and employees of the Proctorial Board tried to handle the matter. Seeing the worsening situation, police had to be called.
The matter was pacified with the help of the police. Both Priyanshu Mishra and Akshay Pradhan have been injured in the clash. They were sent to the hospital and given first aid.
The disciplinary committee of the university has said that it will take action after considering the matter completely.
