Ghaziabad, 13 March: A Muslim boy was allegedly beaten up mercilessly for drinking water at the temple premises under Masuri police station in Dasna area of Ghaziabad district on Saturday.
A man was seen confirming boy’s and his father’s name before thrashing him. He made a video, doing the rounds on various social media platforms, of it and uploaded it to the internet media. However, the police arrested the accused.
In the video that is going viral on the internet media, accused Nandan Yadav first asked boy’s name. When a boy told his name Asif, then the accused asked his father’s name seen in the video and later the accused asked the boy the purpose of visiting the temple on which a boy replied that he went to drink water. After this, the accused started beating a boy badly.
Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kalanithi Naithani informed that Shringi Nandan Yadav, son Ashwani Kumar Yadav, a resident of Gopalpur police station, Bhagalpur, Bihar, has been arrested immediately after the matter came to police’s notice .
A man, who was arrested by the police, is also allegedly associated with an organization called Hindu Ekta Sangh. Police said that the child being beaten is also being searched.
