Water thrown on former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi, November 30: Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal was thrown liquid by a person on Saturday during a padyatra in Greater Kailash area. Immediately after this, the security personnel caught the person and the workers standing nearby beat him up.

The video of this incident is also going viral on social media.

After the incident, Kejriwal stepped back and started smelling his clothes. Later the police took the person into custody for questioning.

AAP leader and Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that such attacks keep happening on Arvind Kejriwal often. He alleged that the BJP’s central government has failed to provide security to Kejriwal.

Delhi Police says that the name of the person taken into custody is Ashok Jha. He is posted as a bus marshal in Khanpur depot.

According to the police, the liquid thrown was water. The reasons behind the incident are being investigated.
