Maharajganj, 05 April: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Maharajganj on a one-day visit on Saturday. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 629 development projects worth Rs 654 crore, including the inauguration of Rohin Barrage. Addressing the public meeting here, Yogi counted the achievements of the central and state government.
He pledged that poverty will be eliminated from UP in the next 3 years and it will be made the number one state in the country.
Chief Minister Yogi said that recently the Waqf Board Amendment Act has been passed in the Parliament of the country. This will stop the looting and illegal occupation of lands in the name of Waqf. Now no one will be able to occupy the land of the intersections. Government property will be used in public welfare works like schools, hospitals, colleges, medical colleges, barrages and housing construction. Yogi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for this.
The Chief Minister said that he has got the privilege of inaugurating the barrage on the Rohin river in Nautanwa assembly constituency. This barrage will benefit 16 thousand Annadaata farmers and more than 5400 hectares of land through irrigation. This barrage will be known by the name of Maa Banailia Devi. The water of the Rohin river is sweet and it flows from Nepal to Gorakhpur. Farmers will get long-term benefits from this barrage. He said about the Rohin barrage that there was a demand for it for 25 years, but the earlier governments were busy filling their family pockets and looting land. Now this barrage will provide water for flood protection and irrigation. New employment opportunities will be created by building water bodies, tourism, boating and restaurants around it.
Referring to the Saryu Canal Project, the Chief Minister said that the project built in 1972 took 49 years to complete, that too was completed when the BJP government came. In the field of irrigation, Arjun Sahayak, Bansagar and Saryu canal projects have benefited lakhs of hectares of land. In the last 8 years, 23 lakh hectares of land in the state has been provided irrigation facility and 14 lakh farmers have been given free tubewell connections. Gaushala and dairy production will be promoted in Madhwalia. Kendriya Vidyalaya and Sports Stadium will also be inaugurated soon in Maharajganj.
Chief Minister said that Maharajganj ranks first in the state in the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Yojana. 1000 youth are being given interest-free loans. Chief Minister Yogi appealed to watch the Surya Tilak program of Ramlala in Ayodhya on TV on Ram Navami and wished everyone a Happy Navratri and Ram Navami.
On this occasion, Maharajganj MP and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, State Water Power Minister Swatantradev Singh, AYUSH Minister and Maharajganj in-charge Minister Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu Samut and other leaders were present.
Distributed cheques, toolkits, smartphones and appointment letters to beneficiaries
During the program, Chief Minister Yogi distributed cheques, tablets, keys, Ayushman cards, nutrition potli, pug machine, sports promotion material and kits to the beneficiaries of various schemes here. The Chief Minister also performed the Annaprashan Sanskar of children here. Also distributed appointment letters to doctors and Anganwadi workers.
Chief Minister also planted saplings here. During this, loan was provided under CM Yuva Udyami Yojana. Nutrition potli, keys to housing under Chief Minister Housing Scheme, a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to Neeraj, appointment letters to Dr. Divya Dwivedi, Dr. Sudhir Pandey on the post of doctor under National Child Health Program. Ayushman cards to Shiv Pujan and Sushila Devi under Ayushman Bharat Scheme, toolkit to potter Sarvjit Kumar under Matikala Toolkit, sports kits to Govind Rao and Mamta of Yuvak Mangal Dal.
Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to newly appointed Anganwadi workers Priya Singh, Ruby. Under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, a cheque of 21 crore 13 lakh 80 thousand was presented to Laxmina Devi and Shariul Nisha. An ex-gratia of Rs 30 lakh was given to Indu Tripathi, the family of Udaybhan Tripathi who died while on duty. Rs 30 lakh was awarded to Poonam Yadav for excellent work under the Chief Minister Panchayat Protsahan Puraskar. Tablets were distributed to Priyanka Maurya and Aadya Rai under Mission Shakti. Tablets were distributed to Roshni Verma and Mansha Gaur in the field of education under the Swami Vivekanand Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana.
