Lucknow, June 25: After removing illegal encroachments spread on the Kukrail riverbed in Akbar Nagar area through massive drive, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has zeroed in to Abrar Nagar and Adil Nagar.
LDA Vice President Indramani Tripathi, giving a statement on Tuesday, said that after its campaign, LDA will revive Kukrail river and give it to the people of Lucknow.
Indramani said that the land of Kukrail river is being cleared on the orders of the Supreme Court and High Court. Illegal houses built on the land of the river were demolished. Akbar Nagar was settled on the land of Kukrail river, it has been evacuated. LDA has taken steps in this campaign in Adil Nagar and Abrar Nagar.
He said that LDA’s team had gone to Abrar Nagar. Houses and shops built on the land of the river have been identified. Bulldozer action will begin from next week. The land of Kukrail river will be cleared. Illegal constructions will be demolished. During this, the help of the police department will be taken to prevent any kind of protest.
