Kanpur , 04 May: The weather patterns are constantly changing in Uttar Pradesh, where the scorching heat troubled people in the second fortnight of April, whereas the beginning of May was fine to a large extent.
Amidst the bright sunshine during the day, the sky is covered with clouds, due to which the temperatures are almost normal. However, the possibility of sultry heat has increased due to moist winds coming from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.
Dr SN Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agricultural Technology, said on Saturday that the western disturbance is 3.1 km above sea level in the form of a cyclonic circulation. A low pressure line above the middle and upper tropospheric westerlies is running about 5.8 km above mean sea level along longitude 59ยฐE to north of latitude 25ยฐN. A cyclonic circulation persists over Northeast Assam and adjoining areas.
He informed that a cyclonic circulation lies over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining West Assam. A trough is extending from southern Chhattisgarh to Rayalaseema via Telangana. Due to these weather activities, moist winds from the Arabian Sea are coming through Rajasthan. Along with this, moist winds from the Bay of Bengal are also coming to Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, the humidity in the atmosphere will increase the humid heat and this heat will make the temperature feel equal to 43 degrees instead of 40 degrees.
He said that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 38.8 and the minimum temperature was 22.0 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 32 percent and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 15 percent. The direction of the winds was north-west with an average speed of 4.6 km per hour.
According to the weather forecast, there is a possibility of light clouds in the next five days but there is no possibility of rain and the speed of winds is likely to be faster than normal.
