Lucknow, 04 December: Light rain with thunder has cooled the weather in many districts of the Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, the concern of the farmers has also increased. Some farmers are also happy about this. However, this rain will prove beneficial for farming. The risk of diseases increasing only slightly increases after rain.
In this regard, scientist of Vegetable Research Institute, Dr A.B. Singh said that light rain will benefit gram, peas as well as wheat, but if there is excessive rain then the problem will increase. There should not be water collection in the fields. If moisture remains, it will be better for the crop.
He stated that rain will escalate the cold and if the cold increases too much then the risk of diseases in vegetables also possible. However, there is no need to be afraid of light rain. In case of extreme cold, measures should be taken to prevent fatal crop diseases. If the rain intensifies, there is a danger of tomato pollen being washed away.
In this regard, Deputy Director of Horticulture Department, Anees Srivastava says that light rain is beneficial for the farmers. Vegetables will also be good with this. Only there may not be clouds for several days. If it remains cloudy for several days then the problem will occur.
