Emraan Hashmi, who is always in controversies and discussions due to his image, is currently in the news for a different reason. Recently, during an interview, Imran has given a statement on one of his old controversial statements.
In ‘Koffee with Karan’, Imran was trolled a lot because of his statement regarding Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai.
Emraan Hashmi had mentioned Aishwarya twice while answering Karan’s questions in the rapid fire round of the show 9 years ago. The question was, “What would you like to steal from Abhishek Bachchan? On this question of Karan, Imran took the name of Abhishek’s wife i.e. Aishwarya and also compared Aishwarya to plastic.
Of course, all this fun was for Karan’s gift only, but at that time Imran had to face a lot of trolling because of this answer.
Talking to the media about this, he said, “Such things increase your enemies and it is very difficult to deal with those things. Even if I go to Koffee with Karan now, I will create more confusion by making such a controversial statement. I have no enmity with anyone in the industry, I just want that gift from that show and that is why I have to give such strange answers.”
When Emraan Hashmi compared Aishwarya Rai to plastic, he was trolled a lot and he had to publicly apologize for it. At that time Imran had said, “I had no intention of hurting anyone, I myself am a fan of Aishwarya. It’s the way those chatshows are, you have to answer like that or you won’t get the gift. I respect Aishwarya’s work a lot.”
