Kanpur, 02 December: The winds are moving in the westerly direction, but there is no significant increase in cold in Uttar Pradesh. Even the temperature is above normal. If we leave the night, there is no special effect of cold during the day.

However, the Meteorological Department predicts that after a week, the western disturbance is going to be active on the mountains, due to which there will be snowfall on the mountains and the westerly winds will engulf the plains of the Ganges with cold.

Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural Technology University’s meteorologist Dr SN Sunil Pandey said on Monday that the winter season is getting delayed than usual in North India. The reason for this is that the western disturbance has not become active yet. Cold winds coming from the Indian Ocean, there will be severe cold in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi and other states only after severe western disturbance.

It is estimated that the western disturbance is forming around December 7-8 due to the high pressure of winds, there is a possibility of heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, light rain can also occur at high altitudes of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. This snowfall and rain will affect the plains of entire North India. In such a situation, there are chances of severe cold in Uttar Pradesh after a week. Although westerly winds bringing cold are blowing, but due to the lack of activity of western disturbance, bright sunshine is shining and the temperature is higher than normal these days.

He told that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was 28.6 and the minimum temperature was 10.0 degree Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 90 and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 47 percent. The direction of the winds was northwest, whose average speed was 1.0 km per hour.

According to the forecast, there is a possibility of light to moderate fog (light haze) in the sky in the morning in Kanpur in the next five days, but there is no possibility of rain.
