World’s largest Hindu temple: Muslim family donates 2.5 crore land for Viraat Ramayana temple

Patna, March 21: A Muslim family has donated land worth more than 2.5 crores for one of the tallest temples in the world, Viraat Ramayana Temple at Kaithwalia in East Champaran district of Bihar.

Ishtyaq Ahmed Khan, the Zamindar of the village has given an example by donating land for this temple.

According to the information, Ishtaq Ahmed Khan, who is doing business in Guwahati and his family members, got their 23 katthas (71 decimil) of land registered in the name of Virat Ramayana Mandir on Wednesday at Kesaria Registration Office in East Champaran district.

According to the government compensation, the value of this land has been estimated at more than Rs 2.5 crore.

On Monday, Ishtyaq Ahmed Khan briefed the journalists at the Mahavir Mandir in Patna.

Acharya Kishore Kunal, Secretary, Mahavir Mandir Trust, told on this occasion that in the past also the family members of Ishtyaq Ahmed Khan have contributed a lot in getting the land for the Virat Ramayana temple.

He told that for this very important project of Mahavir Mandir, the Khan family also started giving land in Kaithwalia. He first gave his prized land situated on the main road for the construction of the temple at an affordable rate. After that other people of the village also got inspiration and started giving land at subsidized rates.

Acharya Kishore Kunal told that till now one hundred acres of land has been received for the Virat Ramayana temple. 25 acres more land to be got. A huge Ramayana temple will be built on a total of 125 acres of land, one of the tallest and largest temples in the world.

Director of Virat Ramayana Temple Project and former District Judge of Patna Visheshwar Nath Mishra, Secretary of Virat Ramayana Mandir, Kaithwalia Lalan Singh and plot donor Ishtyaq Ahmed Khan were also present in the press conference.

Life of the temple will be for more than 250 years

The structural design of the Virat Ramayana temple will be in such a way that it will be durable for more than two hundred and fifty years.

For this, Vineet Jaiswal, who recently retired from the post of Director General, Central Public Works Department, has been made the Chief Consultant of the Virat Ramayana Temple Project. The construction of the new Parliament building has started under his supervision.

In the construction of the Virat Ramayana temple, the services of technical experts and skilled craftsmen engaged in the construction of the new Parliament House are being taken.

Acharya Kunal further told that after completing the work of Parliament House, very soon such a team will be involved in the construction of Virat Ramayana Temple.

The height of Virat Ramayana temple will be 270 feet

Acharya Kunal told that the height of this great Ramayana temple will be 270 feet, which is the highest in the world from the point of view of Hindu temple. Its length is 1080 feet and width is 540 feet. There is a road on three sides of the Virat Ramayana temple complex. The Ram-Janaki road being built from Ayodhya to Janakpur will pass through the Virat Ramayana temple. Saffron Buddhist Stupa is also located on this route.

According to mythological belief, in order to return to Ayodhya from Janakpur, the place where Lord Rama’s procession stayed for a night on the banks of the Devaki River, the huge temple is being constructed at the same place. Now this river flows west from the site of Virat Ramayana temple.
