However, this is the current situation when daily testing of Covid-19 samples in 20 laboratories of the state is also increasing continuously. Despite this, cases of infection are coming down.

Principal Secretary Health, Amit Mohan Prasad said on Friday that cases of novel coronavirus pandemic infection have registered a decrease as compared to earlier.

Prasad confirmed that the state had 1939 active cases of infection on May 04. This number decreased to 1862 on May 05. On May 06 it was further reduced to 1831. On May 07, there was a slight increase and the number reached 1868. But today this number has come down again to 1821.

The recovery rate of coronavirus infected patients in the state is 40.09 percent

He said that similarly, due to better treatment in the state, patients are also recovering quickly. The national rate of recovery of patients is 29.35 percent. In Uttar Pradesh, it is 40.09 percent. So far, 1261 patients in the state have been cured due to better treatment. So far, a total of 3145 cases have come out from 68 districts. At the same time, 63 people have died due to infection.

In 373 pool testing, 18 reported to be positive

Principal Secretary, Health informed that with this, pool testing continues in the state. On Thursday, 1799 samples were tested through 373 pool testing. Of these, 18 were positive cases and 355 pools were negative.

1, 10,534 samples tested so far

He said that 4,848 samples were tested in the state on Thursday. Till date, 1, 16,030 corona tests have been conducted in the state, including tests conducted in private and government labs. At present 1885 people are kept in isolation ward. The number of people present in the quarantine facility is 9,575.

Health team approached more than 20 million people

Principal Secretary, Health said that surveillance is being done at a rapid pace to control the coronavirus infection. 60,147 teams of the Health Department surveyed 50, 43,903 households in the state. In this 2, 52, 15,344 people were contacted. On receiving the symptoms, they were examined.

He added that now private hospitals are also ready to provide emergency services after training in the state. Now, patients in these hospitals will be able to get treatment related to non-Covid care facilities like heart disease, kidney and lung disease etc. Therefore, hospitals adopt all safety standards and treat without any fear. At such a time, it will be his big contribution.
