GORAKHPUR, 04 FEBRUARY: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has filed his nomination from Gorakhpur Sadar seat on Friday. In his nomination, the BJP has chosen four proposers very thoughtfully.

However, it is believed that the BJP has taken care of social engineering in this. Caste and social balance are visible in the selection of these proposers, but they also have their own social impact.

Surendra Kumar Agarwal

Surendra Kumar Agarwal, who comes from Vaish Samaj, has been the President of Chamber of Industries many times. He is considered the universal representative of entrepreneurs at the local level. Aggarwal, who holds a chemical engineering degree from IIT Roorkee, is an entrepreneur and has his own chemical products unit in GIDA.

Also, he has been associated with Yogi since the beginning of his parliamentary career. The Chief Minister has given a decisive seal on Agarwal’s suggestions regarding inclusion of readymade garments in ODOP in Gorakhpur and establishment of readymade garments park in GIDA. They are considered to have good penetration in the business class.

Dr. Mangalesh Srivastava

Former President of Indian Medical Association and famous pathologist Dr. Mangalesh Srivastava is also known for discharging social concerns in the metropolis. Not only does he has a strong penetration in the Kayastha society, he has been playing an important role in giving a platform to the talents of every section of the society by joining organizations like Sanskar Bharti.

Dr. Mangalesh has also had a deep association with the social projects of Gorakshpeeth. He is also very popular among the medical community.

Mayankeshwar Nath Pandey

Mankeshwar Nath Pandey is the manager of the National Educational Society which runs many educational institutions including MG Inter College, PG College. Mankeshwar Nath, representing both Brahmin and Kayastha societies, has been a participant in the social campaigns of Gorakshapeeth.

As an educationist, he has a reputation throughout eastern Uttar Pradesh. He himself has also contested from the city assembly constituency in the year 2007. Due to his family and social background, he is very popular among Brahmins and Kayasthas.

Vishwanath Prasad

The chairman of Raidas Temple Committee, Vishwanath Prasad is the proponent of a set form for the nomination of CM Yogi. Coming from the scheduled caste (SC), Vishwanath is a representative of the same ideology of social harmony, which Guru Gorakshanath, his worshipers and Saint Raidas made the basic mantra of their life.

Vishwanath Prasad is not only influenced by Gorakshpeeth and itโ€™s Mahants’ campaign to end untouchability and social discrimination, but is also associated with it himself. He is also known for campaigning for social consciousness among the people belonging to the Scheduled Castes.
