Lucknow, October 02: In the Hathras rape case, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took major action on Friday and suspended several police officers including SP, DSP, and Inspector there based on the preliminary inquiry report (PIR).
It is reported that the District Magistrate (DM) of Hathras has also been suspended, but this has not been confirmed yet.
Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi has confirmed the suspension of Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikram Vir and other police officers.
According to the information received from the government, narco and polygraph tests will also be conducted for all those involved in this case.
