Lucknow, 28 July: According to an official announcement, the Uttar Pradesh government is establishing a new module called ‘Digital Registers’ on the Prerna portal to encourage elementary school teachers to adopt a smart working style, as directed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Teachers will be trained on how to utilise digital registers using this module developed by the State Project Office, Samagra Shiksha, Uttar Pradesh.
Following the training, these instructors will be able to smartly digitally update their everyday school activities. They will no longer be required to fill out physical registers; instead, all of their job will be completed on their mobile devices.
The government has directed that 12 registrations be digitised, and that online real-time updates be added subsequently. The department will shortly announce standards for teacher training.
The information placed into the digital registers will be certified.
Pawan Kumar, Director of the State Educational Research and Training Council, wrote to the Deputy Director of Education and the Principal of the District Education and Training Institutes in all districts about digitising school registers and training teachers using time and motion studies.
According to this, all school registers shall be archived at the school level prior to the effective adoption of digital registers.
When the digital registers become live, Block Education Officers, District Basic Education Officers, Chief Development Officers, District Magistrates, and state-level authorities will evaluate them using the Prerna app. Details entered in the new Prerna portal module’s digital registers will be deemed certified.
Teachers will be able to better use the time they spend managing numerous activities throughout the day by implementing digital registers.
The attendance registration, admission register, class-wise student attendance register, MDM (Mid-Day Meal) register, integrated free material distribution register, and stock register will be digitised.
Additionally, revenue and spending registers, checks, meetings, inspections, communications, and counting children, libraries, and sports will be digitised. This change will increase openness and make data tampering impossible.
Deepak Kumar, the former Chief Secretary, has already issued orders on register digitalization. According to the regulation, instructors and principals will utilise the Digital Register App to submit all data from their mobile/smartphones.
This information will be available on the Prerna app to Block Education Officers (BEO), Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA), Cluster Development Officers (CDO), District Magistrates (DM), and state-level authorities.
