Lucknow, 14 November: Yogi government is conscious about the pollution caused by stubble burning in winter. The government has made preparations from the beginning to stop incidents of stubble burning. A large-scale campaign is being run to stop the incidents of stubble burning in any case.
Under this, along with the awareness campaign, the government has distributed free bio decomposer among the farmers. Agricultural equipment with residue management are also being distributed for crop residue management.
Target to distribute 17 lakh bio decomposers
In the presentation of the Agriculture Department regarding stubble management before Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, it was told that 50 percent subsidy is being provided on single agricultural equipment. So far 44,363 single agricultural implements have been distributed. Approval has been given for 4439 single agricultural machines in 2023-24. A total of 7621 forms have been distributed so far under the head of FPO Cooperative Society and Gram Panchayat. 296 have been approved in 2023-24. Last year, 13 lakh 22 thousand 250 bio decomposers were distributed, while a target has been set to distribute 17 lakh bio decomposers in 2023-24. So far, 16 lakh six thousand 600 bio decomposers are in the supply process in 2023-24.
Cooperation is being taken from various departments
A spokesperson of the state government said that at the district level, effective action will be ensured by coordinating between officials of departments like sugarcane, basic education, revenue, rural development, Panchayati Raj, local bodies, police and transport, agriculture. Supply of stubble is being ensured by publicizing the crop residue based units established in the district or in the neighboring districts. Village, Nyaya Panchayat, development block, tehsil and district level task forces are being formed.
