Lucknow, 05 March: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has provided significant help to farmers of eight districts of Uttar Pradesh following quick assessment of crop damage due to hailstorm.
The Chief Minister has given early consent for the disbursement of ₹ 23 crore in compensation to nine districts impacted by severe rainfall and hailstorm.
This sum will soon be available to farmers. Banda has been allocated ₹ 2 crore, Basti ₹ 2 crore, Chitrakoot ₹ 1 crore, Jalaun ₹ 5 crore, Jhansi ₹ 2 crore, Lalitpur ₹ 3 crore, Mahoba ₹ 3 crore, Hamirpur ₹ 3 crore, and Shamli ₹ 2 crore as compensation for hailstorm damage. The whole sum is ₹ 23 crore.
It is noteworthy that CM Yogi directed all district magistrates (DMs) to take fast step to assess farm loss due to winds, rain and hailstorm on Sunday.
