Yogi govt sets new benchmark in consolidation works, claims UP govt, works of 10 yrs completed in short time

Lucknow, 14 September: The Yogi government has set a new record of 10 years in the last one year in consolidation related works. In the current financial year, consolidation has been done in 82 villages of 40 districts of the state in eight months so far. Last year in 2023-24, consolidation was done in 781 villages of 74 districts of the state. Apart from this, 705 Gram Adalats have been organized since September last year, in which 25,523 cases have been settled.

Consolidation process completed in 1475 villages in three years

Consolidation Commissioner GS Naveen said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given instructions to get consolidation done to settle the farm related disputes of the farmers in a transparent and quality manner. He had given instructions to set up campaigns and Gram Adalats for its settlement. In this sequence, in eight months in this financial year, consolidation has been done in 82 villages of 40 districts. At the same time, 51 villages were excluded from the consolidation process under Section 6 (1) of the Act as the consolidation process was not possible.

He said that similarly, in the year 2023-24, the consolidation process was completed in 781 villages of 74 districts. In this, 330 villages were of more than 10 years duration. The consolidation process was completed in 463 villages in the year 2022-23 and in 231 villages in 2021-22, which is a record compared to the last 10 years. Overall, the consolidation process has been completed in 1475 villages in the years 2021-2022, 2022-23 and 2023-24.

GS Naveen further informed that at the same time, the consolidation process was completed in 8 villages pending for more than 50 years, 72 villages pending from 30 years to 50 years and 296 villages pending from 10 years to 30 years. In this, the consolidation process pending for 63 years and 56 years respectively in villages Mahuva and Gomadih of Azamgarh was completed. Apart from this, the consolidation process of village Savana and Bareji of Ghazipur was pending for 59 years and the consolidation process of village Belsadi was pending for 55 years, which was completed.

Consolidation records of 8 villages of Kannauj prepared again

The Consolidation Commissioner informed that consolidation process was going on for 53, 54 and 52 years respectively in village Suabhoj of Lakhimpur Kheri, village Malapur Jagdishpur of Sultanpur, Dhema village of Jaunpur, which has been completed. Apart from this, consolidation process was going on for 48 years in village Andarapur of Sultanpur, 41 years in village Mohanpur of Bareilly, 35 years in village Chhachari Tip of Bijnor, 33 years in village Rahedia of Badaun, 31 years in village Aldemou of Mau, 30 years in village Yakubpur and Mustafabad Daduwa of Bulandshahr, which has been completed.

Officer added that along with this, records of 35 villages were burnt due to fire in Kannauj in 1990, due to which consolidation process was being disrupted for 34 years. Preparing new records was the biggest challenge in this. In such a situation, the Consolidation Commissioner constituted a committee under the chairmanship of the then Additional Director Consolidation.

He told also, after the recommendation of the committee, records were created for 8 out of 35 villages as a pilot project. Out of these, the consolidation process of two villages Nandlalpur and Karanauli has been completed. Not only this, the consolidation process of village Rampur Makarand of Lakhimpur Kheri, which was included in the consolidation process last year, was completed in one year and in village Chak Rafatpur of Rampur in just eight months. Consolidation will soon be done with AI, Block Chain, Drone and Rover.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given instructions to set up Gram Adalats in villages to settle old pending cases related to consolidation. After the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath, 705 Gram Adalats were organized in various districts of the state from September last year till now. Through this, 25,523 cases have been settled. Apart from this, keeping in view the interest of farmers and transparency, testing is going on with IIT Roorkee under the pilot project to conduct AI, Block Chain, Drone and Rover survey based consolidation. Along with this, action is also being taken to develop GIS based software and mobile app. Soon the consolidation process will be conducted using these technologies.
