Yogi govt to give complete makeover to Parshuram’s birthplace under CMTPS

Lucknow, January 16: Keeping in view the sentiments of tourists, public and devotees, the birthplace of Lord Parshuram located in Jalalabad of Shahjahanpur district will be developed as a grand tourist destination under the Chief Minister Tourism Promotion Scheme (CMTPS).

In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Public Works (PWD) Minister Jitin Prasad at his official residence with Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra and Principal Secretary Tourism Mukesh Meshram.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed the officials to develop Ramtal located in Jalalabad in a time-bound and quality manner by including it in Amrit Sarovar.

The PWD minister said that there is a very ancient temple of Lord Parshuram at the proposed site in Jalalabad Shahjahanpur. Crores of devotees and tourists across country and overseas come to visit the birthplace of Lord Parshuram. The number of tourists coming has been continuously increasing for the last several years. If this birthplace is developed, the facilities for the devotees will increase and tourism will get a boost.

Prasad said first of all, a wide and accessible road will be constructed to reach this site. After this, various types of facilities will be developed for the devotees.
