Prayagraj, 15 October: The preparations for organizing a divine, grand and well-organized ‘Mahakumbh’ by the Yogi government are underway at a fast pace in Prayagraj. The government is making many innovative efforts to make the experience of tourists and devotees reaching Mahakumbh memorable, hence making road traffic smooth is a part of this. For this, a big project is being implemented in the temple town.

For the first time, 39 traffic junctions are being constructed in the city to simplify the access to Prayagraj by road as well as to give a new look to the traffic system in the city. Additional Kumbh Mela Officer Vivek Chaturvedi says that 39 traffic junctions are being built to give a well-organized form to the traffic system in the city before the Maha Kumbh. They are being built with a budget of about 50 crores. Tenders for this have been issued.
These will become a means of smooth traffic and beautification for the visitors of Maha Kumbh. Before the construction of the traffic junctions, a survey of those intersections has also been done through an agency where there is a lot of traffic problem in movement. After this, the design of these junctions has been made.

They have been designed in such a shape that they can organize the traffic well. According to the Additional Kumbh Mela Officer, islands are being prepared in the traffic junctions for this. According to that, their size will be made small or big. There will be a smart signal traffic system in the junction which will be completely automatic.
Sculptures and attractive lights will also be installed in the remaining space to give a beautiful look to the junction. A green plaque will also be made inside the junction in which small decorative plants will be planted. These traffic junctions will be useful in managing the crowd during the bathing festivals of Kumbh. Even after the end of Kumbh, their utility will remain in making the traffic system of the city smooth.
