Lucknow, April 14: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the Zero Poverty program in Uttar Pradesh will be in the name of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. This program is going to be taken forward this month. In order to raise every poor and deprived above the poverty line, the state government has taken the Zero Poverty program in its hands with the inspiration of Prime Minister Modi. Zero poverty means no poor and deprived should remain.
He said this in a program organized on Monday on the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar. During this, he offered flowers to the statue of Dr. Ambedkar located at Hazratganj.
The Chief Minister said in a program organized by Ambedkar Mahasabha that UP is the first state in the country which will take steps towards achieving the goal of Zero Poverty. In the first phase, 14-15 lakh families will be connected. There will be 20-25 such families in every Gram Panchayat, who would not have got many facilities. The Constituent Assembly was formed in the year 1946.
Yogi stated that Dr Ambedkar got the opportunity to work as the Justice Minister of the first organized government and the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constitution Committee. The Constitution of India still has the ability to connect every citizen. Those who were not in favor of India’s unity, used to laugh that India is getting independence but will not be able to remain united. Their intention remained unfulfilled. 140 crore people from North to South and East to West are tied in the thread of unity. Due to the Constitution, India has established its dominance as the largest democracy even today.
Throwing light on the life of Dr. Ambedkar, he said that he was born in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh in the year 1891. Due to his extraordinary intelligence and desire to do something, he expressed his desire to go to England for higher education. Maharaja Baroda gave him a scholarship on which he went there and returned to India after getting the highest education degree in the world. He had only one resolve that he has to give rights to crores of underprivileged and Dalits. He has to work not only for the country but also for the freedom of the citizens. He jumped into the freedom movement of the country.
Atal tried to make the dream come true, Modi gave momentum: The Chief Minister said that the effort to make Babasaheb’s dream come true was first started by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, while PM Modi gave new momentum. Whether it is educational or economic, the goal of all-round development could be achieved in every field. PM Modi took it forward.
Referring to Dr. Ambedkar and Jogendra Nath Mandal, he said that the events of history are lessons. Many people tempted Dr. Ambedkar, but he did not budge an inch. He declared the resolve that ‘I am an Indian from beginning to end’. He endured insults, but did not let India be insulted. Dr. Ambedkar is being worshipped in the country, but no one knows about Jogendra Nath Mandal. History does not forgive mistakes.
