
Akshay Kumar’s WTTJ hits ₹24.75 cr on day 3, highest single-day collection yet
Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy film ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is performing good at the box office. The film has thoroughly entertained audiences in its first weekend of release and has also received critical acclaim.
According to preliminary figures from Sacnilk, the film earned ₹24.75 crore on its third day, its highest single-day collection to date. The film earned ₹20 crore on the second day, ₹15.25 crore on the first day, and ₹3.75 crore from paid previews. This brings the film’s total Indian collection to ₹63.75 crore in three days, while the film has grossed ₹93.20 crore worldwide.
Meanwhile, ‘Cocktail 2’, starring Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Kriti Sanon, is also maintaining its hold at the box office. On the 10th day of its release, the film grossed ₹4.40 crore, taking its total domestic net collection to ₹83.15 crore. Globally, the film has grossed ₹126.85 crore so far.
An interesting competition is unfolding between the two films at the box office. While ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has enjoyed a strong opening weekend, ‘Cocktail 2’ is also performing steadily. Now, the real test for both films will be the weekend business, which will determine which film wins the long haul.
