Over 250 dogs feature in film ‘Oh My Dog’, special screenings kick off before release
The producers and directors of director Amit Rai’s film ‘Oh My Dog,’ which is set to release in theaters on August 7, are adopting a different promotional strategy. Special screenings are being held in various cities across the country before the film’s release, to boost the film through positive audience feedback and word-of-mouth publicity.
This campaign began this week in Indore, Delhi, Pune, Lucknow, and Kolkata. In the coming days, screenings will also be held in Patna, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, and Mumbai. The campaign will conclude by August 4th.
The producers believe this strategy is similar to other films that have been made successful by positive audience feedback. With this thought in mind, ‘Oh My Dog’ is being promoted to audiences early, so that their opinions and experiences can become the biggest vehicle for the film’s promotion.
According to the producers, the film has received an enthusiastic response from audiences during its initial screenings. Many have called it one of the most emotional and family-friendly films of the year. The film’s emotional story, message of compassion, and the bond between the main characters are resonating with audiences.
Director Amit Rai commented on the initiative, saying, “Some films are truly recognized by their audiences. ‘Oh My Dog’ is a film made with honesty and heart. I believe that the genuine love of the audience is the most effective promotion for any film. We want people to watch the film first, and then let their emotions speak for themselves.”
‘Oh My Dog’ is produced by Amit Rai, Rajesh Bhardwaj, and Sana Warsi under the banner of Babulal Biskop and Thinking Hats Entertainment. The film stars Mahi Rai, Pankaj Tripathi, Geeta Agarwal Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Pawan Malhotra, Sulakshana Barua, and Vijay Mishra, along with dog stars Oscar and Bruno. The film also features over 250 dogs.
