‘Shravan’ to symbolize cleanliness and environmental care, says CM Yogi
Lucknow, August 3: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has written a letter to the people of the state on the month of Shravan. On the first Monday of Shravan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote a letter to the people of the state, wishing them well, saying that Shravan is a sacred festival of public welfare, respect for labor, and collectivity. Special worship of Lord Shiva is performed throughout this month. Worship of Shiva gives the message of restraint, service, and harmony.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Lord Shiva’s drinking of Halahal symbolizes supreme sacrifice. The community meal after planting paddy in Shravan is a living symbol of shared culture and collective labor. Shravan gives the message of nature conservation and coexistence.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, emphasizing water conservation, said that water conservation will be successful only with public participation. Water is the fundamental basis of life among the five elements. Nearly 20,000 Amrit Sarovars have been developed in Uttar Pradesh. A society in Lucknow has taken the initiative to recharge 50,000 liters of water.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to make Shravan a month of service, cleanliness, and environmental protection. Respect every drop of water and protect every plant. Resolve to return as much to nature as you take from it.
