Revanth Reddy’s America trip axed after MEA refusal
Hyderabad, August 21: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was not granted permission to travel to the United States. He will now return to Hyderabad from London on August 23. The Chief Minister’s Secretariat has confirmed this.
Due to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) not granting permission to Revanth Reddy to travel to the USA, he has been forced to cancel his trip to the United States of America (USA). He departed from New Delhi on Thursday for a ten-day visit to England and the United States.
Reddy is currently in London and is scheduled to return to Hyderabad on August 23. He was scheduled to travel from Boston to New York on August 23 to attend the Meet and Greet event of the Indian Overseas Congress. After this meeting, he was scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad on August 30.
Following the denial of a trip to Hyderabad from London, the Chief Minister decided to return to Boston, USA, instead of traveling to Boston, USA, to promote education and contribute to a developed India.
While officials have been instructed to pursue pre-scheduled US programs and agreements, he said, “The sole purpose of this trip was to bring the world’s best institutions to India, Telangana, and Hyderabad as part of the Center’s new education policy. They would have been the answer to our youth’s aspirations to receive education, skills, and training from the world’s top Ivy League and leading global institutions.” He added, “I have always believed that when it comes to nation-building and the future of our youth, we must think beyond politics and elections.”
