CM Yogi calls for collective effort to make ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ people’s movement
Lucknow, September 10: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a virtual meeting on Thursday with all the MPs, district panchayat presidents, MLAs, Legislative Council members, mayors, municipal and town council presidents and block heads of the state.
He called upon all the public representatives to join the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ and make it successful by working together with the public in their respective areas.
While outlining the 12 key programs of the campaign, the Chief Minister said that this campaign, dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of continuous service, will be meaningful only if every section of society participates in it. With the active participation of MPs, MLAs, and other public representatives, the campaign will reach every segment of society, from villages to cities.
The Chief Minister also urged public representatives to participate in the “Seva Diwas – Ashirwad Ka Diya” program on September 17th. On September 17th, along with Seva Diwas, Vishwakarma Jayanti, Vishwakarma puja will be performed in all assembly constituencies and toolkits will be distributed to artisans. Lamps will be lit with beneficiary families at 7 p.m. during the “Aashirwad Ka Diya” program. Lamps should also be lit at major buildings and development project sites constructed under the Double Engine Government’s schemes. The Chief Minister urged all MLAs to attend these programs in their respective constituencies.
He urged all government and private basic, secondary, and higher education institutions to be included in the “India of My Dreams” program. Along with student painting, speech, and debate competitions, the participation of teachers and local public representatives should also be ensured. This will provide children and youth with an opportunity to connect with the country’s development journey. The
“Namo Seva, Ankahi Kahaniyaan” program is scheduled to be held in all 403 assembly constituencies of the state from September 18th. The Chief Minister said that the Tourism Department should play the nodal role in this. Along with prioritizing local artists, students and teachers should also be involved in the program. Through them, stories of service, good governance, and development that are taking shape around us should be conveyed to the public.
Under “Angan Milan Seva,” ASHA and Anganwadi workers who have performed outstanding work will be honored. A Healthy Baby competition will also be held.
Chief Minister said that this program should not be limited to just an event; important information related to nutrition, health, and women and child development should also be easily provided to mothers.
Under the “Seva Ki Kahani,” he emphasized the need to highlight the changes that have taken place over the past nine and a half years through the beneficiaries’ own stories. The Chief Minister stated that changes have occurred in every sector of society, and that people are benefiting from government schemes without discrimination. The true picture of these changes will emerge only from the experiences of the beneficiaries.
He stated that the video reel must include the beneficiary’s name, village, district, and scheme. Beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund and Ayushman Bharat should also be included.
Regarding the “Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra,” the Chief Minister stated that October 7th holds special significance. On this day, 25 years ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi began a new journey of public service as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. On this occasion, a “Seva Kalash” will be installed at a major intersection in each district, and the Prime Minister will deliver a special address.
Chief Minister urged public representatives to actively participate, so that this event becomes a symbol of service, dedication, and resolve.
Under “Seva Mera Yogdan,” citizens should be connected to various service activities. The rejuvenation of at least two sites in each assembly constituency should also be carried out with public participation. Under the “Seva Setu Abhiyan,” seven-day multipurpose service camps will be organized in each development block.
Chief Minister emphasized that the camps should have a clear objective, eliminating the need for citizens to visit various government offices to avail benefits. Information about central and state government schemes should be available in one place, applications should be processed, eligibility verifications should be conducted, and the approval process for eligible individuals should proceed. Health fairs will also be organized in conjunction with these camps.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the true strength of the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” lies in public participation. Therefore, along with MPs and MLAs, public representatives at the village level, youth, women, students, artisans, self-help groups, and social organizations should also join. He called on all public representatives to make this campaign, which runs from September 17th to October 17th, a celebration of service, good governance, and public participation in their respective areas.
