UP Startup Mission pavilion cecomes center of attraction at UPITS‑26
Noida, September 28: The innovations of the state’s emerging startups are the center of attraction at the Uttar Pradesh Startup Mission pavilion at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show-26 (UPITS-26). Under the banner of the Startup Mission, 60 startups from various sectors have showcased their products, technologies, and innovations. Over 5,000 visitors have visited the Startup Pavilion in the last three days.
The pavilion is witnessing participation from startups working in diverse sectors such as IT-ITES, healthtech, edtech, agriculture, deeptech, and infrastructure.
UP Startup Mission CEO Sumit Mahajan stated that 60 startups participated in the UPITS-26 pavilion. These include IT and ITES, healthtech, edtech, agriculture, deeptech, and infrastructure. Startups from various sectors showcased their products and technological solutions. The Startup Pavilion attracted a significant number of visitors. Over 5,000 people have visited the pavilion in the past three days. Visitors viewed and learned about the startups’ products, technological solutions, and innovations.
He added that six startups selected for Bharat Innovates also participated in the UP Startup Mission pavilion. These startups showcased their innovations at the trade show. Additionally, six startups funded by the UP Startup Fund also presented their products and innovations at the pavilion.
Sandeep Kumar, CEO of L&T Semiconductor Technology, also interacted with the startup founders at the Startup Pavilion. He learned about their work and innovations. During the interaction session, he encouraged the startup founders and motivated them to further their efforts.
CEO Sumit Mahajan stated that innovations related to defense technology and deeptech were also highlights of the trade show. Among these, the solar-powered ultra-long endurance UAV “Tejaswan” from IIT Kanpur’s deeptech startup Maraal Aerospace Private Limited stands out. This fixed-wing aircraft operates on a combination of solar energy and batteries and is said to be capable of flying for 12 hours continuously. Tejaswan incorporates technologies such as GPS spoofing-resistant navigation and multi-band radio-based electronic warfare hardening. Its range is approximately 150 kilometers, which can be extended to 250 kilometers if needed. Its take-off weight is less than 60 kilograms and it can carry a payload of up to 5 kilograms. Its maximum speed is reported to be 25 meters per second and it requires approximately 200 meters of runway for takeoff. This drone can be used for surveillance, communications, target engagement, maritime monitoring, and search and rescue operations.
In the field of defense technology, the “Kaal” drone also attracted visitors’ curiosity. It is a one-way attack drone system with a range of approximately 1,000 kilometers and a flight time of 7 to 8 hours. Its maximum take-off weight is 200 kilograms and it is said to be capable of carrying a high-explosive warhead of up to 50 kilograms. Its cruise speed is 160 kilometers per hour and its maximum speed is 200 kilometers per hour.
The Bengaluru-based Numes Research and Technologies demonstrated its tethered electric UAV, “Nimbusscope.” It receives power through a ground cable, allowing it to remain stationary in the air for eight hours of continuous surveillance. In drone mode, its maximum altitude is reported to be 110 meters AGL and field elevation is 5500 meters AMSL. Without a tether, it can fly for 45 minutes at a range of 10 kilometers. It features 256-bit AES encryption, high-bandwidth video downlink, and a secure RF link. It is said to be useful for tasks such as surveillance, reconnaissance, and disaster management.
IDR’s indigenous nano and micro drones were also showcased at the trade show. Among these, the Abhyas MK-1 is a long-endurance micro FPV drone with a flight capability of approximately 40 minutes and is designed for operator training. IDR’s tactical nano drone is said to be capable of providing real-time intelligence beyond the reach of soldiers.
