Lucknow, 15 August: In Uttar Pradesh, 36 crore 15 lakh 98 thousand 954 saplings were planted in two days. Of these, 5 crore 94 lakh 47, 384 saplings were planted on Independence Day and 30,21,51,570 on July 22.
Keeping in mind the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a massive tree plantation campaign 2023 was launched in the state on July 22 and August 15.
Yogi started this campaign on July 22 by planting saplings on the banks of the Ganges in Bijnor and Muzaffarnagar, while on August 15 he planted saplings at Amrit Vatika, Gomti Beach (near Jhulelal Vatika), Lucknow. Till 5:30 pm on August 15, 5 crore, 94 lakh 47 thousand 384 saplings were planted in UP. That is, a total of 36 crore 15 lakh 98 thousand 954 saplings were planted in two days.
For this commendable contribution, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also congratulated all the people’s representatives, voluntary organizations, social organizations and the people of the state including the administration.
