Expressing gratitude to the great heroes of independence, the Chief Minister said that Gandhiji’s mantra of self-reliance and self-dependence will become the foundation of a developed India. That is why PM Modi talks about “local to global.” He believes that encouraging and providing a platform for products made by villages, artisans, handicraftsmen, and weavers is also an expression of gratitude to the great heroes of India’s independence.
Yogi said that the mention of Lal Bahadur Shastri evokes a sense of reverence in every Indian. He will always be renowned for his simplicity and gentlemanliness. He was as sensitive as he was combative. He demonstrated what he said. He spoke as much as he did.
Chief Minister said that Shastriji’s goal was to achieve food self-sufficiency in India and to instill respect in every Indian for the soldiers fighting on the country’s borders. Shastriji’s slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” became the mantra of independent India.
Chief Minister Yogi said that while soldiers were defending the borders and defeating the enemies, on the other hand, the farmers, the food-producing ones, were committed to making India self-reliant through their sweat and hard work. As a result, India has today achieved the goal of food self-sufficiency. India now has the capacity to feed 1.4 billion citizens and supply food to many countries. The mantra given by Shastriji in 1965 is still embraced by the soldiers and citizens who provide India’s internal and external security.
