After ‘Ramayana’ part 1, sequel’s release date faces possible postponement
Even before the release of the first part of the Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi starrer ‘Ramayana’, fresh update has emerged regarding its second part. According to reports, the release of ‘Ramayana 2,’ directed by Nitesh Tiwari, may be postponed from Diwali 2027 to 2028.
The film’s producer, Namit Malhotra, wants to give the second part additional time to create a grand cinematic experience for audiences on the big screen. However, the producers have not yet made an official announcement regarding the release change.
A source close to the film stated that for Namit Malhotra, ‘Ramayana’ is not just a film, but an emotionally charged project. The producers are paying attention to every aspect to ensure it achieves global recognition. While the release of the first part is near, the shooting and production of the second part still requires more time. It is reported that the film’s action sequences are taking longer than anticipated to prepare. The producers want to include some new and larger action sequences, which is why efforts are underway to expand the scope of the second part.
Namit Malhotra wants to bring the Indian epic to a global audience through “Ramayana.” To this end, instead of rushing the production of the second part, the emphasis is being placed on quality and grandeur. It is currently unclear when the film’s new release date will be announced. Audiences are now awaiting an official announcement from the producers.
