As temperatures soar, ‘Chand Mera Dil’ finds gentle lift at cinemas
Ananya Panday and Lakshya Lalwani’s romantic film ‘Chand Mera Dil’ has completed three days of its first weekend in theatres. After a slow start, the film saw a slight jump in its earnings on Sunday. Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ is already holding its ground at the box office, but its business is not showing any significant growth now. On the other hand, Mohanlal’s ‘Drishyam 3’ and Surya’s ‘Karuppu’ are consistently performing well.
‘Chand Mera Dil’ shows momentum on the third day
According to a report by Sacnilc, ‘Chand Mera Dil’ opened with a box office collection of Rs 3 crore on the first day. On the second day, the film’s earnings increased to Rs 3.75 crore. On Sunday, the film grossed Rs 4.35 crore. With this, the film’s total domestic collection has reached ₹11.10 crore. Produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions banner, this romantic drama film is receiving mixed but positive response from audiences and critics.
“Pati Patni Aur Woh Do”
Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Vamika Gabbi appears to be experiencing a slowdown in earnings. The film grossed ₹3.25 crore on Sunday, the 10th day of its release. This brings the film’s total box office collection to ₹36.35 crore. However, the film is no longer as effective in attracting audiences.
“Drishyam 3” and “Karuppu” are also dominating the box office
Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s highly anticipated “Drishyam 3” continues to maintain a strong hold at the box office. The film earned an impressive ₹13.95 crore on its fourth day, bringing its total collection to ₹54.55 crore. Meanwhile, Suriya’s Tamil film “Karuppu” continues its strong run. The film earned ₹16.74 crore on its 10th day, taking its total to ₹148.55 crore. Given the pace of “Karuppu,” it’s believed it will soon join the ₹150 crore club.
