SP MLA’s social media handler accused of stealing laptops, iPhone in Lucknow
Lucknow, May 25: A theft occurred at the official residence of a Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA in Lucknow on Monday. The theft was allegedly committed by none other than Arihant Jain, the MLA’s social media handler. The MLA has filed a theft case at the Hussainganj police station in Lucknow.
The station house officer (SHO) Shiv Mangal Singh stated that SP MLA Ravidas Malhotra from Lucknow Central is allotted flats 31 and 32 in the official residence, MLA Niwas Royal Hotel-4, where his office operates. Some time ago, Arihant Jain was hired to handle social media.
According to the SHO, it is alleged that Jain absconded with the room keys without informing anyone. When contacted, his phone was switched off. Several calls were made, but he did not answer. Suspicion arose when the room was opened with a different key, and two computers and an iPhone were found missing. CCTV footage showed a man loading goods. Following this, the MLA filed a complaint at the Hussainganj police station.
