“The Few, The Fearless”: MARCOS secure ship carrying vital cargo for India
New Delhi, July 2: The Indian Navy has foiled an attempted piracy on a ship carrying vital cargo for India in the Gulf of Aden. Seeing the Indian ship approaching, the pirates fled, leaving the crew safe and the ship unharmed. The ship was carrying vital cargo for India and an Indian citizen was also on board. Naval Commandos boarded the affected ship and conducted a thorough search, ensuring that no pirates remained aboard.
The MV Golden Arsenal was carrying vital cargo for India. Pirates attacked the ship in the Gulf of Aden and attempted to seize it. Sensing danger, the ship’s crew locked themselves in a safe room and reported the piracy attempt over a communication channel. Upon receiving the distress call, the nearby Indian warship, INS Trikand, quickly sailed to assist. As the naval warship approached, the pirates fled, ensuring the crew’s safety and no damage to the ship. The crew included an Indian national.
Following the pirates’ escape, the Indian Navy’s brave Marcos ( Marine Commandos) landed on the stricken vessel, MV Golden Arsenal. They conducted a thorough search of the entire ship, ensuring that no threats or pirates remained aboard. The Navy’s Marine Commandos secured and sanitized the entire vessel.
