Akhilesh Yadav slams BJP for rebranding SP government’s development initiatives
Lucknow, July 6: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is still inaugurating the development works done during the Samajwadi Party (SP) government in Lucknow and across the state. The SP government built the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. The Lucknow Metro is as complete as it was; it hasn’t progressed further.
This allegation was made by Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. He was addressing journalists at a press conference at the party headquarters in the capital, Lucknow, on Monday.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the Amul plant, Parag plant, HCL, IIIT, Dial 100, the police headquarters, and the Ekana international stadium were built during the SP government. We brought Medanta. He said that the Samajwadi Party government developed the largest industrial area. We expanded Lucknow’s green corridor and built a riverfront. But this government destroyed even that.
The double-engine BJP government established farmers’ markets, special markets for mangoes, and built three-star hotels at various places for farmers to stay. The largest Pepsi plant was established in Sandila, Hardoi, and the best, affordable cancer hospital was built for treatment. Shilpgram fell into disrepair and ruin due to the BJP government’s negligence. Uttar Pradesh has seen the highest number of engineering colleges closed. The
BJP government has destroyed the Jayaprakash Narayan International Centre (JPNIC), built during the Samajwadi Party (SP) government. The country will never see a park as large as Janeshwar Mishra Park. He said that the BJP government hates the JPNIC, named after the great man.
The SP president said that when the BJP was formed, they had decided that their path would be socialist and secular. He added that the BJP MLA in Lucknow is preparing to change his constituency. We will not allow the constituency to be changed, we will change the MLA.
Akhilesh Yadav said that injustice and atrocities have crossed all limits in this government, this is the model of this government. He said that our party members will file FIR against all the false propaganda being spread against us at present.
While answering the questions of journalists, Akhilesh Yadav said that whatever has happened and is happening in the Lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, Ram devotees of the entire world, saints, people of Ayodhya, Supreme Court, Lok Sabha Speaker and all PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) should take cognizance of it. He said that a big truth in this matter is that people associated with the offering case are unable to face public anger.
The SP president said that the truth is that the people of Uttar Pradesh want change. There is no fertilizer, no DAP. The BJP bought all the corn and charged the price, but the farmers did not receive the right price. He added sarcastically that the public is complaining that the addition of ethanol is affecting their vehicle maintenance and mileage.
