Speculation ends: Alia Bhatt officially joins Soham Shah’s horror epic ‘Tumbaad 2’
The long-standing speculation surrounding actor and producer Soham Shah’s highly anticipated horror film ‘Tumbaad 2’ has finally come to an end. The producers have officially announced that actress Alia Bhatt has joined the cast. This announcement has further increased audience excitement for the film.
Soham Shah shared several photos with Alia Bhatt on his social media account, showing glimpses of ‘Tumbaad”s iconic red background, evil dolls, lanterns, and red circles. Along with the post, he wrote, “A new chapter begins. Welcome to ‘Tumbaad 2,’ Alia Bhatt. The apocalypse will come. See you in the cinema. 03.12.2027.” With this, the film’s release date has been announced as December 3, 2027.
Alia Bhatt will be a part of a horror film for the first time. As such, there’s considerable excitement among his fans about this new role. Sohum Shah will once again play the lead role in the film. Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s involvement has also been previously announced, further strengthening the star cast.
Released in 2018, “Tumbaad” was a popular horror film based on Indian folklore, praised for its unique story, powerful direction, and excellent cinematography. Rahi Anil Barve’s directorial debut has over time earned him cult classic status.
