“No memorials for Islamic invaders in new Uttar Pradesh,” declares Yogi Adityanath in Bahraich
Bahraich, July 21: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in Bahraich on Tuesday that the Samajwadi Party and Congress never respected Uttar Pradesh or Maharaja Suheldev, instead, they started organizing a fair dedicated to Ghazi Miyan in the name of Salar Masood, a foreign invader who invaded India and plundered Bahraich and the Mata Pateshwari shrine. “Our government has made it clear that a memorial to a foreign invader or a fair named after him will not be acceptable in the ‘New Uttar Pradesh’ of the ‘New India.’ The people of Bahraich stopped the event in Ghazi’s name. The government will make arrangements to ensure that grand fairs and events are held in the name of Maharaja Suheldev, not Ghazi,” Adityanath said.
The Chief Minister was addressing the crowd on Tuesday after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for 70 projects worth over ₹352 crore for the development of the Mahsi and Nanpara assembly constituencies.
He said that Bahraich is transforming from an aspirational district to an inspirational one. Once a lagging district, Bahraich now plays a leading role in the country. Citing new data from the NITI Aayog, the Chief Minister said that Bahraich has established a new identity in the Aspirational District rankings. It ranks first in infrastructure, second in agriculture, and fourth in education. For this achievement, the NITI Aayog has allocated ₹21 crore to the district.
Chief Minister said that the SP and Congress were too busy building the boundary of the graveyard and organizing the Ghazi Miyan fair. Maharaja Suheldev had given Ghazi Miyan a death considered the worst in Islam. The NDA government built a grand memorial for Maharaja Suheldev in Chittaura. Work that should have been completed in 1947-48 was completed only after Modi became Prime Minister and the double-engine government came to power in Uttar Pradesh.
₹7,000 crore has been approved for the construction of the Barabanki-Bahraich access-controlled four-lane corridor
The Chief Minister, while enumerating development projects to the residents of Bahraich, said that there is a medical college named after Maharaja Suheldev and a hospital named after Rishi Balark. Funds have been approved for the construction of a four-lane road from Lucknow to Bahraich. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved ₹7,000 crore for the construction of the 102-km-long Barabanki-Bahraich access-controlled four-lane corridor. Twenty-two flood protection projects on the Ghaghra (Saryu) have been approved for ₹115 crore. A plan is underway to develop an industrial logistics corridor at Rupaidiha (Nepal border). Land acquisition is underway for the construction of the Bahraich-Khalilabad railway line. The economic corridor to be built from Gorakhpur to Shamli will pass through Bahraich. This infrastructure will develop Bahraich as a new hub of industry and investment, providing employment and jobs to young people.
Chief Minister stated that the untimely illness of Bahraich’s children was a cause for concern. Anyone who recalled the valor of Maharaja Suheldev, the spiritual practice of Balark Rishi, and the sacrifice of Maharaja Balbhadra Singh Chahlari would be concerned by Bahraich’s precarious state. However, the SP and Congress agenda focused solely on the development of one dynasty, family, and their own.
Chief Minister stated that during the SP government, Babua would wake up at 12 a.m. and get ready by 2 a.m. His uncle would explain, but he still couldn’t understand. He would go to the gym at 5 p.m., and upon returning, a gathering would gather at 7 p.m., where state schemes were scrapped and ruined. During that time, the plight of Uttar Pradesh’s youth, farmers, and sisters and daughters was no secret. Riots would often erupt before festivals. At that time, there were no roads, electricity, housing, rations, or even Ayushman facilities. Although money was available, the intentions were unclear. Uncles, nephews, and relatives of the Saifai family, with ties to the Mahabharata, would extort money, and if anyone raised their voice, their homes would be taken over.
Chief Minister stated that wildlife (tigers, leopards, crocodiles, and hyenas) pose a constant threat in this area. They also cause widespread loss of life every year, so caution is essential. The Chief Minister directed the administration and forest department to increase patrolling and install lights and doors on homes.
CM appealed to people to be vigilant about sensitive areas. Avoid walking with small children in such areas. Carry a stick to protect against wildlife. Vigilance is the only way to ensure safety. Village heads, area and district panchayat chairpersons, block heads, as well as MLAs, MPs, former MLAs/former MPs, chairmen, and other public representatives should hold meetings to raise awareness.
During this, Horticulture Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh, MP Anand Gond, MLA Sureshvar Singh, Ramniwas Verma, Anupama Jaiswal, Subhash Tripathi, Saroj Sonkar, Legislative Council member Padmasen Chaudhary, Pragya Tripathi, District Panchayat Administrator Manju Singh, former MP Akshayvar Lal Gond, former Cabinet Minister Mukut Bihari Verma, BJP District President Brijesh Pandey, Apna Dal District President Girish Patel etc. were present.
After Bahraich, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Shravasti and inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 83 development projects worth over 396 crore rupees in Sitadwar. On this occasion, he said that Changur, who fooled people into becoming Kalanemi, has been arrested in Balrampur and imprisoned; his unethical activities have been bulldozed. At the event, he remarked that the uncle and nephew, upon securing jobs under the Samajwadi Party government, would set out to extort money.
Listing his government’s achievements, he said that if there had been a BJP MLA in Bhinga, Shravasti would have seen more major projects and rapid development. Unfortunately, the SP party has no time to advocate for development. The government has already destroyed their illegal plundering activities. Now, they are in a position to hide their tails between their legs, knowing that wrongdoing will have consequences. A large number of BJP officials and workers were present on the occasion.
