Instagram address: PM Modi unveils Nilekani-led panel for examination overhaul
New Delhi, July 26: A high-powered task force on examination reforms has been formed under the leadership of technology expert Nandan Nilekani, Prime Minister Modi announced this in his address on Instagram application.
In his Instagram video message, the Prime Minister stated that with an eye on trust, transparency, and greater use of technology in the education system, it has been decided to form a “high-powered task force” under the leadership of world-renowned technology expert Nandan Nilekani. It will focus on “examination reform,” and the task of ensuring the credibility of upcoming examinations will be completed as soon as possible based on its report.
He stated that the Government of India is continuously taking numerous steps for the future of students. Those who play with the future of students are languishing in jail. We have established fast-track courts. We are moving forward in Parliament tomorrow to enact a new law with stricter provisions, but we must think about the future.
It is noteworthy that since the CJP’s youth-focused movement against exam paper leaks, the government has been taking various steps toward exam reform. After first tightening the related laws, a task force has now been formed.
