PM Modi meets Assam MPs over state’s flood situation
New Delhi, July 28: The Assam MPs met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Tuesday and briefed him on the current flood situation in various parts of the state.
The Prime Minister wrote on Twitter, “Met with the MPs of Assam today and discussed the current flood situation in various parts of the state. The Central Government is working closely with the Assam Government to assist the affected people. I pray for everyone’s safety and well-being.”
It is noteworthy that continuous torrential rains over the past several days have wreaked havoc in the Northeast region. The floods have left many families homeless and their lives have been severely affected. Currently, teams from the district administration, SDRF, NDRF, Army, and Air Force are continuously monitoring the affected areas.
