PM Modi meets Egyptian, Indonesian leaders at BRICS Summit

New Delhi, September 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday during the BRICS Summit.

Sharing details on Twitter, the Prime Minister said, “I had a wonderful conversation with President al-Sisi. We discussed a wide range of issues, especially regional ones and the India-Egypt friendship, which has been growing stronger in recent times.”

He also described his meeting with President Prabowo Subianto as extremely enjoyable. He said that his warmth, positivity, and optimism always captivate him. India and Indonesia will continue to strengthen their partnership in various areas.

It is noteworthy that the BRICS summit is being held in New Delhi, hosted by India. On the sidelines of the talks, the Prime Minister is meeting with the leaders of the countries attending the summit.

In this sequence, the Foreign Minister Dr S JaiShankar is also meeting his counterparts. He met Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud today.

He said on X that they discussed regional and global developments as well as issues of advancing bilateral cooperation.
