UPITS 2026: Yogi Adityanath highlights youth, farmers, and industry as pillars of growth
Noida, September 25: On the occasion of the inauguration of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this trade fair is a symbol of global trust in Uttar Pradesh. It is a new initiative to give Uttar Pradesh a new identity for our programs, our youth, innovation, our MSME sector, and the hard work of our farmers.
CM Yogi said that countries like Austria, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Belarus, and Vietnam are partnering with us in UP ITS. This is taking it to new heights. ITES technology and manufacturing are providing an easy way to invite international companies to Uttar Pradesh and export from here.
He said that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the entire world has developed complete confidence in the quality of production, the strength of the supply chain, and the credibility of the state’s industries. More than 2,400 exhibitors are participating. This is also an opportunity to showcase the potential of Uttar Pradesh, which, under the guidance of its central leadership, has redefined development over the past 10 years.
He said that the Uttar Pradesh government has recognized the potential of talent in villages and towns and provided opportunities to advance it. We have connected talent and opportunity with technology, made the government an opportunity provider, and worked to develop local products into enterprises through quality, design, facilities, branding, and marketing. He added that global-standard infrastructure has also been developed within the state to boost business. He said that through expressways, highways, airports, freight corridors, and industrial infrastructure, we have created a multi-hub of economic opportunity and growth.
He added that by connecting to international and global markets, we have created a value chain that has opened the way for global trade.
He said that UP ITS has become a major platform to showcase this, where local products from Uttar Pradesh are making their mark in the global market. The One District One Product scheme is working to connect the skills of our traditional craftsmen with the global market.
He said that through various schemes, equipment is being provided to the artisans and efforts are being made to connect them with the market. He said that today Uttar Pradesh has 79 products in MSME which have received G tag. Applications have been made for 75 products. Be it the exquisite carpets of Bhadohi, brass of Moradabad, perfume of Kannauj, or silk sarees of Varanasi. Today our cultural heritage has been transformed into brands with turnover of crores of rupees. He said that UP is also eliminating the system of middlemen by connecting ITI directly with the buyers.
He said that UPITS 2026 will showcase the diversity of Uttar Pradesh’s industrial, agricultural, handicraft, and service sectors. It will include sectors such as agriculture and allied sectors, automobiles, EVs and auto components, aviation, defense, electronics and e-commerce, IT and smart-city solutions, films and entertainment, fisheries, animal husbandry and dairy, food processing and FMCG, horticulture, handloom, handicrafts and textiles, health, wellness, AYUSH, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing and real estate, leather, tourism and hospitality, sports, toys, renewable energy, power, mining, logistics and warehousing, retail, financial services, education and skills, packaging and printing, and water, sanitation and wastewater management.
He stated that the exhibition will also prominently showcase government schemes and policies related to MSME development, entrepreneurship and skill development, cluster development, digital transformation, international cooperation, procurement and marketing support, employment generation, and rural and urban development. Uttar Pradesh’s sectoral policies related to industrial investment, exports, textiles, and garmenting will also be part of the event.
The five-day event will feature a variety of activities, including business engagements, knowledge sessions, cultural programs, live performances, awards, fashion shows, and laser shows. The knowledge program will discuss artificial intelligence, electronics manufacturing, digital trade, food processing, MSMEs, global free trade agreements, and other emerging sectors. This will provide opportunities for knowledge exchange, dialogue, and collaboration for industry leaders.
Along with trade and investment, UPITS is also providing a global platform for Uttar Pradesh’s culture, cuisine, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Here, efforts will be made to connect the state’s manufacturing capabilities, MSME ecosystem, ODOP and ODOC products, handicrafts, textiles, agriculture, food, tourism, innovation, and emerging industries with buyers, investors, and the business community from India and abroad. UPITS 2026 is building on the success of the previous three editions.
