Akhilesh Yadav slams BJP govt for discrimination against madrasas
Lucknow, September 28: The Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Monday made several announcements for teachers and employees regarding the upcoming assembly elections. He said that if the SP forms the government, the old pension scheme will be restored, honorarium will be reinstated for unaided teachers, and Shiksha Mitras will be respected as teachers.
He also promised to resolve the problems of government schools.
Akhilesh Yadav was addressing a press conference at the party headquarters in the capital Lucknow on Monday. He targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government on the issues of education and employment. He said that the SP has consistently worked in the interest of teachers and will take further steps in this direction upon returning to power. According to him, “In the future, when the government is formed, the old pension scheme will be implemented for employees.”
The SP president said that the honorarium system for unfunded teachers would be reinstated. He also promised to honor Shikshamitras as teachers and resolve the problems of government schools. Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP government of dividing society and discriminating against madrasas.
He said, “This government has no other work. They only want to divide people. They have discriminated against madrasas. The BJP only knows how to divide.” Accusing the BJP government of providing “half-hearted jobs and half-hearted education,” he said that the education system would be improved if the SP government was formed. He again raised questions about vote theft.
The SP president also alleged that the names of SP supporters were removed from the voter list for the 2022 assembly elections. He claimed that a large number of Form-07s were sent to every village to remove votes.
According to Yadav, a person in Lucknow submitted Form-07 to remove the names of more than 100 voters, even though the number of such applications allowed by a single person is limited.
He said that the Samajwadi Party has been raising this issue since the elections. Yadav emphasized the need for transparency in the electoral process and said that matters related to the voter list should be investigated impartially. Akhilesh Yadav attacked the BJP, calling it the “biggest land
mafia party
.” He also called the BJP the “Indian Land Party.” Taking aim at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he accused the Election Commission of defending alleged irregularities in the electoral process.
The SP president said that the Samajwadi Party will fight the upcoming assembly elections with full force to oust the BJP from power. Party leaders Shivpal Yadav, Chief Spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary, Indrajit Saroj, and MLA Atul Pradhan were present.
