Shravasti: Departmental inquiry ordered against ‘suspended’ SI over irregularities
Shravasti, September 30: The Superintendent of Police (SP) Rahul Bhati on Wednesday suspended sub-inspector (SI) Ram Bhavan Prajapati with immediate effect on charges of gross negligence and irregularities in his official duties. He has also ordered a departmental inquiry against him.
According to the police, during the investigation, it was revealed that Sub-Inspector Ram Bhavan Prajapati allegedly colluded with an accused and acted with the intention of providing him unfair advantage in the investigation. The police department has considered this to be serious misconduct and has taken action.
Ram Bhavan Prajapati was previously posted at the Bhangaha police post. Some time ago, he was removed from the post and sent to the police lines. He is currently posted at the police lines. Now, following the suspension, a departmental inquiry will examine all the facts and circumstances related to the case.
The SP Bhati has directed a departmental inquiry into the matter as per the rules. The police department has stated that all facts will be examined impartially and transparently during the investigation. The district police have reiterated their commitment to integrity, transparency, and discipline.
