Clear skies expected across Uttar Pradesh as Monsoon begins to retreat
Prayagraj, September 30: With the monsoon retreating, the India Meteorological Department has forecast dry weather across western and eastern Uttar Pradesh from September 30 to October 6, noting no weather warnings have been issued during this period.
According to the Met forecast, rainfall activity will be very low in the state from September 30 to October 6. Skies may remain mainly clear or partly cloudy. Day temperatures are expected to gradually increase after October 1. In Prayagraj, the maximum temperature may reach around 33 to 35 degrees Celsius in the next few days.
The reduced rainfall activity is expected to facilitate farmers’ care of standing crops and harvesting. However, the effects of heat may be felt again due to rising temperatures due to bright sunshine during the day. The weather is expected to remain relatively normal in the morning and evening.
Dr. SN Sunil Pandey, a meteorologist at Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSA), Kanpur, stated that with the withdrawal of the monsoon, atmospheric humidity is gradually decreasing. Consequently, rainfall activity in the state will decrease in the coming days, and the weather will remain predominantly dry. Daytime temperatures may increase, while the morning and evening weather will remain normal. Farmers have been advised to take advantage of the clear weather and complete essential agricultural work.
The weather bulletin has not issued any warnings for western and eastern Uttar Pradesh from September 30 to October 6. This reduces the likelihood of thunderstorms, heavy rains, or other adverse weather in the coming week. Dry weather is highly likely on September 30. After this, the weather is expected to remain dry until October 6.
