BJP picks Hardeep Puri for crucial MP Rajya Sabha contest
New Delhi, October 28: Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has been declared the party’s candidate for the Rajya Sabha by-election from Madhya Pradesh. This seat fell vacant following the recent resignation of Union Minister L. Murugan from the Council of Ministers and the Rajya Sabha. The by-election for the seat is scheduled for November 12.
The BJP shared the information through an official press release on Wednesday.
It is noteworthy that Puri’s current Rajya Sabha term from Uttar Pradesh ends in November. His name was embroiled in controversy due to his photographs with Jeffrey Epstein. His name was not included in the recent list of Rajya Sabha candidates from Uttar Pradesh.
