The story of the film revolves around Kanti Sharan Mudgal i.e. Pankaj Tripathi. The video of Kanti’s son masturbating in the school toilet is going viral on social media. Initially Kanti blames the boy and she is discriminated against in the society. Kanti’s son is expelled from school. Kanti trusts Mahakal. They pray to God that everything will be fine. At that time Akshay Kumar had entered as Mahadev. Then why did his son do this? Kanti realizes this and the story of the film takes a twist.
Kanti goes to the court with the child’s case. Kanti insists that his son took the extreme step because of the lack of sex education in schools. He admitted in the court that Kanti was also at fault in this matter. Along with this, Yami Gautam is seen fighting the case against Kanti. Now what actually transpired between Kanti and Yami in the court, how Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva helps Kanti, will be seen in the movie.
The positive aspect of the movie ‘OMG 2’ is that the movie deals with sex education. Apart from this, some other small things have also been highlighted. Right at the beginning of the film, it targets the relationships of Western culture.
In the initial scenes of the film itself, the doctor does not speak openly about Kanti’s son, but is seen roaming around using some other words. This also shows to what extent things can go if there is no proper communication in the family.
As far as the technical aspects are concerned, the background music is well composed. Camera-editing and cinematography could have been better. The story of the film seems boring at some places and takes an interesting turn at some places. The acting of all the three actors Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam is superb.
