Busy poll schedule keeps BJP chief away from Varanasi program
Varanasi, July 29: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Nabin could not participate in the nationwide ‘Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Samrasata Sankalp Abhiyan’ organized from Wednesday under the aegis of the BJP on the occasion of the 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas Maharaj.
The BJP President’s Varanasi visit was cancelled due to his busy schedule in the Bihar by-elections. Party’s Kashi region media in-charge Navratan Rathi confirmed this. Union Law Minister Arjun Meghwal participated in the conference in place of the BJP President.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Samarsata Sankalp Abhiyan organized at Seer Goverdhanpur, the birthplace of Saint Ravidas.
Under this campaign, soil from the sacred birthplace of Saint Ravidas will be filled in 131 urns and sent to 98 organizational districts of Uttar Pradesh and 27 states and six zones of the country. By worshipping these urns, an effort will be made to spread Saint Ravidas’s message of social harmony, equality, and humanity to the masses. A series of various programs will be held under this initiative until Maghi Purnima, Saint Ravidas Jayanti, on February 20, 2027.
