Chameleon SP vs Ambedkarite BSP—Mayawati draws battle lines
Lucknow, August 08: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati has launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP). She said that SP changes its colour like a chameleon, whereas BSP is an all-community friendly Ambedkarite party.
Posting on X on Saturday, BSP chief Mayawati wrote that, it is well known that BSP is an all-community friendly Ambedkarite party, following the policy and principle of ‘Sarvajana Hitaya and Sarvajan Sukhaya’. On this basis, BSP has run its government in UP, whereas SP, for the sake of its narrow casteist politics and electoral interests, openly keeps changing its colour like a chameleon.
The BSP chief said that after initially promoting the SP’s so-called “PDA” (Backward, Dalit, Minority) with “P” instead of “Backward,” the SP has now, alarmed by the rapid association of upper castes, especially Brahmins, with the BSP and the selection of party candidates based on that, changed the “P” to “Pandit,” further demonstrating their political deception and fraud.
Such political deception may temporarily benefit a particular individual, but it can never benefit the entire community. Therefore, people from all walks of life must be wary of the deceptive SP and its narrow caste-based politics. This is the need of the hour and in the best interest of the entire community.
