CM Yogi doles out appointment letters to 932 selected candidates
Lucknow, May 18: Under the Yogi government’s Mission Employment, 932 young people joined the recruitment drive for various positions in 21 departments on Monday. Appointment letters were distributed to the young people selected under the Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Senior Subordinate Services Examination 2024, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. The newly selected candidates’ faces lit up upon receiving their appointment letters from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan.
Chief Minister Yogi wished the newly selected young people a bright future and congratulated the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission for conducting the recruitment process in a transparent manner. Encouraging the selected candidates, Yogi said that for any officer or employee who works in the Indian administrative system in Uttar Pradesh, nothing is impossible for them, whether in the country or the world. Those who succeed in Uttar Pradesh are successful everywhere, because Uttar Pradesh, with its 250 million population, operates under diverse circumstances. It delivers results in both favorable and unfavorable circumstances. All of you are getting the opportunity to work in such a state.
Your success should become the foundation of the state’s success
Chief Minister Yogi told the selected youth that this is a moment of joy for you, your parents, guardians, family members, and friends. Your success should become the foundation of the state’s success. The government expects the same transparent and honest procedures during your service period as the transparent manner in which you were selected. You must cultivate the habit of doing the work that needs to be done today. The hard work you put in during the first 10 years will lay a strong foundation for your next 30-35 years of service and beyond. Hard work propels a person to the heights of success. When your hard work is combined with an honest system, results are achieved. If this result becomes the basis for continued hard work, it will bring a lifelong joy.
A person selected through recommendation and financial transactions will lead to misery, not progress
The Chief Minister stated that the government’s intentions, systems, and action plans are exemplary. The functioning of the Recruitment Commission and Board serves as an example for implementing these policies. If the recruitment process itself is not transparent and fair, then expecting those selected to deliver honest results and contribute to the state’s progress and prosperity will be a pipe dream. Only those who are selected honestly and have earned their position through hard work can lead to progress. A person selected through recommendation and financial transactions will lead to misery, not progress. This was the case in Uttar Pradesh before 2017.
When the state transitioned from this system, you would have been 10-15 years old. You would have gone to school holding the fingers of your parents and siblings. You are fortunate to have had the opportunity to take exams without cheating. You have seen the results of school education, university, competitive examinations as well as the fair system of selection process, but this was not possible before 2017.
The Chief Minister said that only a limited number of people were called on stage to receive appointment letters. All 932 officers are entitled to receive appointment letters directly, but there are time limits. We appointed departmental ministers as representatives. This is the team that implements programs to implement the PM’s vision in their departments.
Yogi said that in nine years, appointment letters have been distributed to more than nine lakh youth. These youth would not have received appointment letters if there was no good government. This is the benefit of good government in a democracy.
He said that results will not come from just making plans. The government makes plans. The system for implementing plans on the ground is the administration and various departments. Different departments have to work to reach the last person, and results come from there. The accountability and responsibility for achieving results lies with this system, which works to translate the political vision into reality.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Yogi government ministers Suresh Khanna, Om Prakash Rajbhar, Dara Singh Chauhan, Dayashankar Singh, Ravindra Jaiswal, Baldev Singh Aulakh, Vijay Laxmi Gautam, Danish Azad Ansari etc. were present in the appointment letter distribution program.
