CM Yogi honors excellence in education, serves food to children in Saharanpur

Children’s faces lit up after receiving books and notebooks from the Chief Minister

Chief Minister Yogi honored the Principals of the five best schools of Saharanpur

Saharanpur, July 1: Launching the second phase of the “School Chalo Abhiyan”, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed books, notebooks, bags, and stationery kits to children whose faces lit up with joy, interacted warmly with them by asking if they would attend school—receiving smiling promises in return—praised their confidence during an exhibition of innovations, enjoyed Saraswati Vandana presented by council school girls, handed out chocolates, and highlighted his government’s achievements from the stage.

Following the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of development projects worth crores of rupees in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister personally served food to the children. State government ministers and other public representatives joined Chief Minister Yogi. The children recited mantras before eating. They were delighted to see the Chief Minister serving them food.

After the program, Chief Minister Yogi went to the classroom. He asked each child’s name one by one and spoke to them. The children, delighted to have the Chief Minister among them, continued to chat with him. The children’s childlike, innocent answers to the Chief Minister’s questions brought laughter. The Chief Minister praised the children, encouraging them and even gave them chocolates.

Yogi also performed the ‘Annaprashan’ ceremony for the children who had attended the program. Due to adverse weather, this event was organised in the classroom itself. Chief Minister Yogi applied Chandan/Tika to the children, fed them Kheer and also gave them toys as gifts. The children who were given Annaprashan, also played in the lap of the Chief Minister.
