CM Yogi launches ₹658 cr development works in Firozabad, says progress comes from people’s vote

Firozabad, 22 June: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in Firozabad on Monday that before 2017 there used to be one district forest mafia in Uttar Pradesh, but now under the double engine government, Uttar Pradesh is known as One District One Product. He also appealed to the people of Firozabad to support the BJP in the same way. Describing the double engine government as synonymous with development, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 81 projects worth Rs 658 crore in Tundla and Shikohabad assembly constituencies and handed over cheques and certificates to the beneficiaries of other schemes.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday handed over the keys of houses to the beneficiaries of 568 newly constructed buildings of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Usayani village of Tundla assembly constituency in Firozabad. Along with this, he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 81 projects worth Rs 658 crore in Tundla and Shikohabad assembly constituencies and handed over cheques and certificates to the beneficiaries of other schemes.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the entrepreneurs and labourers of Firozabad and said that today on Vishwa Patel, they have an important role in making Firozabad global from local. He said that thanks to the double-engine government and the Prime Minister’s guidance, Firozabad is benefiting from projects worth Rs 568 crore. The credit for this goes to the people of Firozabad, because when you cast your vote in the right place and press the right button on the EVM, Firozabad’s journey transforms from local to global.

He said that today, Firozabad’s glass industry has surpassed China. Previously, Chinese products were gifted to guests on festivals like Diwali, Holi, Rakshabandhan, or to guests because these were the only products available in the market. However, Firozabad’s glass artisans developed this new technology, bringing glass products to the market. Now, on every festival or during the arrival of a guest, a beautiful glass statue is presented, delighting the guest.

He said that the beautiful glass statues of Ram Darbar, Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Buddha, etc. are made from glass. This is the art of the workers, and this art existed before, but before 2017, this art of workers was not encouraged. The factory did not receive gas supply. For this reason, Firozabad could not transform from local to global before 2017.

Taking aim at the Samajwadi Party, he said that development is not on the SP’s agenda. The SP’s mission is to divide society, destroy social unity, encourage hooliganism, obstruct development plans, and turn the celebration of any festival into a riot. Before 2017, there used to be a “One District One Mafia.” Each district had a designated mafia whose job was to seize poor and government land, engage in hooliganism, extort money from traders, and create chaos in the state. Today, Uttar Pradesh has “One District One Product.”

He said that Uttar Pradesh is now mafia-free. There are no curfews, no riots, and everything is fine in Uttar Pradesh. He alleged that festivals and celebrations are not riots, but celebrations. He alleged that the SP government even prevented celebrations like the Kanwar Yatra and Shri Krishna Janmashtami. The poor were deprived of rations and electricity because the Congress, SP, and BSP were accustomed to living in darkness, as robberies occurred in the dark. But today, everyone in Uttar Pradesh is getting access to electricity, water, education, health, and other amenities, and benefits from all the schemes.

Earlier, Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh praised the state government’s law and order, saying that law prevails in Uttar Pradesh. The state government is known worldwide as the “Bulldozer Baba’s government.” Earlier, Chief Minister MLAs Prempal Dhangar and Manish Asija also shared their views. Mayor Kamini Rathore, District Panchayat President Harshita Sumit Pratap, District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma, along with former party MLAs and leaders, were present on the occasion.
